Following the sudden suicide of a friend, Ash becomes aware of rumors circulating through Pittsburgh's queer community about Brad, an extreme masochist with an increasingly improbable series of self-mutilations and sexual transgressions to her name. A chance meeting leads to a blossoming relationship, but as they grow closer, the dissonance between Brad the Story and Brad the Girl begin to needle at Ash's own frictions. Suicide is harder than it seems.
